EDITORIAL PRINCIPLES
Understanding you can trace to evidence.
We connect policy, the economy, finance and AI through source-based explanations.
AI and automated publication
Software and AI support collection, analysis, review and publication. Routine operation does not require manual article entry or publication approval. Different roles performed by the same model are not independent third-party verification. Automated checks cannot guarantee factual accuracy; insufficiently supported material is held back.
Facts, claims and analysis
We distinguish verifiable facts, statements made by a source, editorial analysis and uncertainty. Original sources and access dates are provided. Unsupported predictions and causal interpretations are not presented as facts.
The English edition
English articles translate the Japanese edition, preserving its qualifications and source links. Source titles and quotations may remain in their original language. New translations are included in the existing final-review process. A translation is withheld when its associated source text or evidence changes, or the article is under review. Availability may therefore differ between editions.
Figures and missing data
Numbers require units, periods and sources. Missing values are not zero. Observed before-and-after changes are not automatically causal effects. Fictional sample figures are excluded from production.
Updates and corrections
We retain publication dates and record substantive updates and corrections. The English edition links to the original revision history. Translation checks do not constitute a new investigation of the underlying event.
Financial information
Articles provide general information to explain developments. They do not recommend trades or provide personalized investment advice.
